Accounts Payable Specialist

HireClix helps clients diversify from traditional recruitment media and develop a new recruitment marketing mix built to drive quality candidates and build brand.

We have a great opportunity for a team-oriented individual to join a growing recruitment advertising agency based in Gloucester, MA as an accounts payable specialist. You will join a faced-paced and fun environment and have the opportunity to use your attention to detail and collaboration skills to support a key business function.

What you get to do:

As an accounts payable specialist, you will use your organizational skills and knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes to:
  • Assist with key functions including invoicing, matching, batching, record retention, check runs, and mailings
  • Ensure accuracy between vendor and client invoices
  • Record accrued liabilities for invoices not yet received
  • Process all transactions in accordance with the Approval Authority Matrix
  • Maintain compliance in all accounts payable activities
You will use your strong communication and problem-solving skills to:
  • Respond to vendor inquiries to ensure the organization protects working capital while managing the timely payment of payables
  • Resolve internal issues relating to purchase orders and receiving to ensure an efficient purchase order system
  • Maintain strong working relationships with all internal and external customers

Apply for this job if you have:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks 
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable
  • A minimum of 1 year of general accounting experience
  • All of the key skills mentioned above
  • The authorization to work in the US for any employer

You will be a strong candidate if you also have:

  • Experience with Google’s G Suite
  • An Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field
